The Duggars Introduce Their 20th Child (And He Doesn’t Have a J Name!)

Looks like they’ll have to change the show to 20 Kids and Counting!

The Duggar family has introduced their 20th child, Tyler, more than two months after In Touch exclusively revealed they’d taken in a young relative. Last week, Jim Bob and Michelle celebrated his ninth birthday with a touching Facebook post.

“Happy 9th birthday Tyler! We are so glad to have you in our home and a part of our family! Your bright smile and sweet spirit brings much joy to us all! Jackson loves having a ‘little brother/cousin’ to ride bikes and play with and read your bibles together [sic]. Our prayer is that each day you will seek God’s will for your life, and thtat God will use your life in a great way,” they wrote. “We pray over you that one of your first memory of verses from the Bible will be lived out through your life! Isaiah 4:21 ‘This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.’ We love you, Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jim Bob.”

In Touch first revealed the Duggars’ plan to take in their young relative back in September. The parents-of-19 decided to take in Tyler after it was revealed that his mother, Michelle’s niece Rachel Hutchins, was struggling to take care of him. At the time, the 23-year-old mom was “homeless, unemployed, and had a slew of financial setbacks and problems with the law” that left her unable to care for her child herself. After taking temporary custody of the young boy, the Duggars appeared in court in November to make the guardianship permanent.

“Jim Bob and Michelle couldn’t be happier,” a source told In Touch at the time the arrangement was finalized. “Jim Bob and Michelle have made the child feel right at home. They treat him like their own and he looks up to them as parents.”
