Drake Had a Bar Mitzvah-Themed Birthday Party and That’s All That Matters RN
Yesterday was a pretty special occasion, it was rapper Drake’s 31st birthday! And since he’s better known as Champagne Papi, it’s no surprise he pulled out all the stops for his birthday bash. But the birthday boy did something extra special for his big day. Tapping into his half-Jewish heritage, the Canadian rapper thew himself a second Bar Mitzvah — and honestly, it was lit. Though the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs that we’re accustomed to going to consisted of a bunch of middle schoolers dancing to “Low” by Flo Rida, Drizzy Drake’s only had the highest of A-list celebs present. According to Page Six, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Tobey Maguire, and even Lamar Odom were all there to join in the Mazels. And with a menu of Dippin’ Dots and pizza, we’re honestly still a little mad we didn’t get the invite.
Apparently, the celebration took place at the Catch LA rooftop. The “Fake Love” singer “arrived through the private entrance with a few close friends and family, as well as his father, who was decked out in a shiny blue blazer,” a source told the outlet. While the event was clearly star-studded, it’s unclear as to whether or not fellow rapper Nicki Minaj showed up to celebrate.
Back in May, the duo sparked dating rumors, and honestly, we’ve been shipping them ever since. According to Hollywood Life, Drake and Nik have a major connection. “Drake loves absolutely everything about Nicki; he idolizes her,” a source said. “But, they also flirt outrageously with each other. Drake holds Nicki on a pedestal and compares all other chicks to her. She’s his ideal woman — fierce, beautiful, cool, and smart. Drake fell in love with Nicki the very first time he met her, and he’s been mad crushing ever since.”
