It’s been more than five years since A&E’s hit show Dog the Bounty Hunter went off the air and fans everywhere have been missing Duane “Dog” Chapman and his beautiful wife Beth Chapman. Chapman fam fans got the news they’ve been waiting for when it was announced that the couple would be returning to A&E with a special titled Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives. The show is set to air on Nov. 27 and will follow the couple dealing with Beth’s throat cancer diagnosis.

It was revealed that the 50-year-old had a 50/50 chance at beating cancer, and according to People, Beth has already gone under the knife to remove the cancer. “I take it one day at a time,” she told the mag. "And I believe in the power of prayer.”

Dog, 64, is sticking by his wife during this trying time. “When we made a pledge many years ago I said I’d love her in sickness and in health until death do us part,” he said. “And that truth has really, really come alive in my mind. And I have to stand on that; I gave her an oath that I would love her forever. And thank God it’s not till death do us part at this point.”

The diagnosis came to light in September, and the couple has been open with fans from the beginning about the struggles they’ve been going through. "As most of you know I've spent a lifetime facing tests and challenges I didn't see coming and certainly never expected. I've been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, ‘You have cancer,’" Beth wrote in a note obtained by Radar Online.

Dog admitted that his wife’s illness has put life into perspective for him.  “If I have a pain — like a back pain or something — I don’t tell her anymore. My little pains are nothing compared to what she’s going through,” he said. “I don’t want anybody to feel sorry for me because I’m not the one who has it. I just want our fans to say prayers for Beth.” Well, we’re sure fans will be offering their prayers and well-wishes as the couple returns to reality TV.
