It was a bittersweet moment for the Disney Channel family when Descendants 3 premiered on Friday, August 2. The film includes one of Cameron Boyce‘s final onscreen roles before his tragic death last month, and to honor the late actor, the Disney Channel compiled a series of clips of Cameron in order to pay tribute to him and his career on the network after his untimely passing.

“Everything you are … every smile, every laugh, every dance, every hug, every moment, everyone you touched … you mean everything to us,” the message read in between a highlight reel of some of Cameron’s best moments on the Disney Channel.

Cameron got his start on The Disney Channel in 2011 with a role on the TV series Good Luck Charlie, when he was just 12 years old. He was best known for his role as Luke on Jessie and as Carlos in the Descendants TV movie franchise.

In one clip, Cameron reflected on the success of the film franchise. “It’s amazing how much we’ve all learned and grown but I definitely did not expect it to be this big for me and for the cast and for the channels,” he said. In another clip, Cameron’s Descendants costar Sofia Carson said, “Cameron, of the four of us, has the most swag ever. None of us put together could ever have the amount of swag that Cameron has.”

The tribute video also featured a sweet montage of moments where Cameron showed of his dance moves on set and enjoyed a few silly laughs with his costars. One of the moments featured former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, who guest-starred on an episode of Jessie, who laughed when Cameron delivered one of his lines perfectly. “I made her laugh!” Cameron exclaimed, and they shared a sweet hug together.

Cameron passed away on July 6, 2019, after suffering a seizure due to his epilepsy. Our thoughts are with Cameron’s loved ones as they continue to mourn his loss.
