Watch out, Jason Jordan! On March 14, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer seemed to confirm that she had broken up with her boyfriend, and now things may have taken a turn for the petty. After spending the last few months together, the relationship has fallen apart once again. And though the star hasn’t officially shared the news, she did take to Instagram to post that “some things are just not meant to be.” Now, a cryptic Twitter message from Saturday, March 16, has fans thinking there could be more to the breakup than it seems. Leah and Jason were together for a while.

After they started dating in the spring of 2018, they became Instagram official in August, but it wasn’t long before they broke up in October 2018. “It just wasn’t working,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They’re just not a good fit.”

The star posted social media hints.

Leah didn’t officially share the news the first time around either, though she did post other vague sentiments about it on Instagram. “Some things are meant to happen, just not meant to be. Some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay,” she wrote.

But then they reunited.

The couple gave things a second shot in November 2018 and even spent the long Thanksgiving weekend together with their families. “I’ve never been so thankful! 😍🦃🍽🍁 Happy Thanksgiving!!” the mom-of-three shared.

Leah gushed about Jordan online.

“Find someone that knows you’re not perfect but treats you as if you are!” she captioned one of their photos together. “I just love his face,” she continued in another.

She even talked him up in interviews.

“I think he’s definitely more mature than other guys that I’ve dated that are my age,” Leah, 26, told Us about her 39-year-old boyfriend. “It’s just a different responsibility, it’s a different life than someone that’s single. … He’s a good dad. … He’s an all around good person.”

He became part of the family.

In early February, Jason helped celebrate Addie’s birthday. Later that month, he became Aleeah’s cheerleader at her cheerleading competition. “She looked gorgeous and did a great job. Proud to be a cheer dad hehe,” he commented on one of Leah’s pictures.

But then they split.

On her Instagram Story on March 14, she seemed to reflect on the situation. “So thankful for this beautiful journey that we call life!” she wrote on a floral backdrop. “My thought of the day … Everyone comes into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I’m thankful for everyone I’ve journeyed with and continue to learn and grow. When we can live in the present with appreciation, there’s no room for judgment. Some things are just not meant to be and that’s ok.”

They seemed to be on good terms.

“Everything happens for a reason! #trusttheprocess,” she continued after posting the same quote pic to her feed. “I only ever want what God wants for us! 🙌🏼Thank you for all of the support, we love you! ♥️♥️♥️”

A Twitter like seemed to confirm the news.

When a fan responded to the same post on Twitter by asking, “Did you break up?” on March 13, Leah liked the tweet. In response, the fan continued, “You’ll be good. Definitely a strong woman from all you’ve been through. Leading a great example to those girls of what a strong woman is and doesn’t give up.”

Now, Leah’s getting shady.

Though she initially left up the photos of her and Jordan, she later deleted them. As of Monday, March 18, every single picture of the couple or of their families together had vanished from her Instagram account.

And she’s taken things to Twitter again.

She may not have tweeted about the breakup or even liked any tweets shading Jordan, but she did retweet something from the main Twitter account — and it’s not hard to see how it could be about her relationship.

It all comes back to Carly Simon.

Referencing her famous “You’re So Vain” song, Twitter wrote, “You’re so vain / You probably think / This Tweet is about you,” with a musical note emoji. And, of course, Leah retweeted it.

But that’s not all.

She also liked another tweet about keeping relationships equal. “If he pays for dinner, I got the tip. If he buys the movie tickets, I got the snacks and drinks. If he pays everything one night, I got the next date. It’s a balanced relationship that’s how we roll ❤️,” the tweet read.

Were things not balanced for Leah and Jason?

According to Us, the Teen Mom star posted, “When someone shows you who they are believe them. Facts,” the same day that the news of her split broke.

In hindsight, the relationship seems messy.

In addition to all the social media shade, reports also indicate that Jason may not have been the best boyfriend to Leah. The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, who first broke the news, claimed that one of the reasons for the split was that Jordan was seriously controlling.

According to them, Leah broke it off.

And if that’s true, it makes her Twitter likes, retweets, and Instagram deletes even more telling. We see you, girl — and we need you to spill the tea.
