Did Michael steal Angela’s money? It seemed like things were going well between the couple, but the season finale of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days seemed to prove otherwise. Earlier this season, Angela traveled from Georgia to Nigeria to meet her online boyfriend Michael for the first time and they ended up getting engaged towards the end of her trip. They shared a tearful goodbye at the airport when it was time for Angela to return to the United States — but once she arrived in Georgia, she made a shocking discovery. 

During the episode, producers added a message on the screen explaining what happened. When Angela got back to Georgia, she tried to use her debit card and found out that her bank account was empty. She tried to call Michael but she couldn’t reach him, so she contacted the producer who was filming Michael’s interview in Nigeria. “My bank account’s empty,” she told him and Michael asked her how that could happen. “I don’t know, that’s why I’m talking to you, Michael. You were only supposed to withdraw no more than $300, right? They’re saying we did $300, $300, $300 at that bank,” she said.

In her confessional, Angela explained that she gave Michael access to her bank card so that he could withdraw money from an ATM in Nigeria because she didn’t know how to use the machine. But she said she asked Michael to take out $300 and her bank told her that he actually took out $900.

“I’m freaking out right now. I have no money in my bank,” she said. Michael continued to deny that he took the money. “What are you trying to say? You think I stole your money or what?” he asked. Angela said he was the one who had her card, so she assumed he was the one who made the transactions, but Michael denied taking her money.

“This is like a nightmare,” Angela said in her confessional. “I was worried about Michael using me to come to America. But to take my money out my bank account? How dare him?”

“I’m over here broke now — no gas money, no way to pay my bills,” she said, swearing at him before hanging up the phone. It looks like fans will have to tune into the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days reunion to find out what happens next.
