Following a devastating diagnosis of muscular dystrophy, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer-Calvert told ‘In Touch’ she would do everything within her power to make sure her daughter, Ali, had everything she needs.

But now a source tells the mag that a trust fund set up for her five-year-old daughter — with nearly $50,000 of money put away from the MTV reality show — has been spent on shopping and expensive gadgets.

“The account was totally drained,” the insider says. “The money is supposed to go to college tuition, or in Ali’s case, medical needs. But Leah took all of it.”

To make matters worse, the source alleges that Leah purposely targeted her daughter with special needs because she thought it be easiest to skim the money from Ali’s account (rather than accounts for Ali’s twin, Aleeah, or Leah’s youngest daughter Adalynn) because she can claim the money was spent on her daughter’s on-going medical expense.

Ali’s father, Corey, has since learned of the missing funds — and is determined to get it back.

“He’s furious that Ali’s future has been wiped away and he’s seeing what he can do to get the money back,” the insider adds, explaining that since their divorce, Leah has been able to take money from the account without needing Corey to sign off on the withdrawal (another source close to Leah says the money is in the account, but didn’t mention whether or not it had ever been tampered with).

Leah’s financial situation may prove to be desperate, as she’s allegedly headed towards divorce from her husband Jeremy Calvert, who provided their primary income. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old reality starlet, who was allegedly spending $600 a week on prescription pills, has been spending more money than she’s put away.

“Leah has made a lot of bad decisions [financially] and is strapped for cash big time,” the source tells the magazine. “She’s selfish now. She only cares about herself.”
