Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are facing some criticism today after being accused of lying about their daughter Jana’s career.
On Jan. 12, the proud parents posted a picture on Facebook of their twins Jana and John-David to celebrate their 25th birthday. In the caption, the 19 Kids and Counting stars praised their children, writing, “They both have a ministry heart and are great role models for other young people. John just finished up his pilot’s license and is staying busy with construction and police work. Jana is a concert pianist and is involved in many ministries. We are so blessed to have such wonderful daughters and sons. Happy 25th Jana and John!”

If you’re confused about how and when Jana managed to become a concert pianist — the answer is simple: She’s not actually a concert pianist.
Fans were frustrated with the Duggars’ decision to describe their daughter as a concert pianist considering it’s such a competitive career and dedicated craft.
“I doubt she is a concert pianist,” one commenter wrote. “True concert pianists have to practice many hours of the day, as it is a passion and career for them.”
Another quipped, “Um… ‘Concert pianist’? You need to check out what that really means. People study and practice intensively and dedicate themselves for years and years to earn that title.”
Many of the critics also took the opportunity to call Jana an “indentured servant” because, as the oldest and unmarried woman in the family, she regularly assists her parents in child rearing.
Do you think it was inappropriate of the parents to call Jana a “concert pianist”? Sound off in the comments!
