Coco Austin Shuts Down Speculation She and Husband Ice-T Split: ‘We’ve Been Together for Almost 20 Years’
Happily married! Coco Austin shut down speculation she and husband Ice-T (real name: Tracy Lauren Marrow) split on Wednesday, September 9, telling one concerned fan they are still going strong after almost 20 years together.
The model, 41, confirmed she and Ice-T are still very much in love after sharing a new photo on Instagram showing off her hair makeover. “Have you officially moved to Arizona and left your husband?” one social media user asked in the comments section, adding, “I don’t see you or your daughter with him anymore.”
Coco said he “made it out” there with them, too, but he “doesn’t like taking pics.” The E! reality star revealed they didn’t mean to stay in Arizona for four months, but Law and Order “stopped filming all this time” due to the pandemic and will be resuming shortly. Ice-T, 62, has starred as Detective Odafin Tutuola on the hit series since 2000.
The mom of one explained to another follower she felt compelled to set the record straight about their relationship so people “don’t misconstrue things.”
This past week, Coco and her hubby returned home to New Jersey and she shared a new snap showing her and Ice-T holding daughter Chanel’s hand. “Getting fresh air with the fam is always nice … this is what really matters,” she wrote.
Coco also gave an update on her father, Steve Austin, after it was revealed he was back at home following his coronavirus battle. As of now, he is “still [on an] oxygen machine, but at least out of the hospital,” the TV personality revealed.
After welcoming a daughter together in 2015, Coco and Ice-T’s bond grew even stronger, she exclusively told In Touch in January. “We didn’t know we could get closer, but having Chanel made us even closer, if that even makes sense,” she gushed. “We have such a really cool bond, Ice and I, and a good friendship — not just a marriage, but a good friendship. And we’re just so comfortable with each other at this point that it’s like you can’t see one another without each other.”
