Despite recent reports claiming Kris Jenner’s empire is crumbling and Keeping Up With the Kardashians is being cancelled, the show is doing just fine, according to an insider.
One tabloid is alleging the series is coming to an end because multiple members of the Kardashian krew are no longer interested in filming, but the insider was quick to refute the claim.
“It’s not true at all,” the source tells In Touch. “Keeping Up With the Kardashians is not being canceled.”
According to the report, Kim was quitting the production at the insistence of her fiancé, Kanye West, who found the idea of a reality show “tacky.”
The report added Kourtney and Khloé lost interest in the show, as Kourt plans to focus on her family and relationship with Scott Disick, while newly single Khloé is more interested in partying, as per the claims.
The report alleges Bruce Jenner turned on his ex-wife and her empire, with hopes to return to the quiet allure of private life.
Additionally, it was reported Kendall Jenner wishes to follow her passion for modeling and take on the runway and — according to the report — fears that remaining on the reality show will prevent people in the fashion world from taking her seriously.
The show insider is confident that, after nine seasons, fans will still be able to keep up with the Kardashians for the foreseeable future.
In February 2013, rumors surfaced about Kim leaving the show, but she tackled the rumors head on—promising fans they were all signed on until “at least season 10.”
“We are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10,” North’s mom wrote on her blog at the time. “The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it’s a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it.”
