Fans have been so worried ever since news broke that the pop star had been found unconscious in her home at 8000 Laurel View Drive on Tuesday, July 24, and multiple reports claim that Demi suffered an apparent drug overdose. Now, insiders are revealing details about what Demi had been up to the night before that fateful morning.
Eyewitnesses spotted Demi, 25, out and about on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and she attended a friend’s birthday party at Saddle Ranch, according to Radar. Demi had been drinking vodka sodas, the source claimed, and she seemed to be “having fun.”
“Though everyone was doing drugs all around her, and drinking tons, no one saw her doing anything,” another insider revealed.
Demi decided to invite the group over to her home at 8000 Laurel View Drive to continue partying until around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, according to Radar.
But it seemed like once everyone left, Demi continued to party on her own. Although it was originally reported that Demi had overdosed on heroin, it was later made clear that the drug Demi had allegedly overdosed on was not known, according to TMZ. Sources revealed to Us Weekly that a friend treated Demi with Narcan, which is a drug that treats a narcotic overdose.
Hours after the initial reports, her family’s rep released a statement to Us Weekly to clear up all of the rumors. “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” the statement read. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
