He’s not letting anyone try to hurt his marriage! On Dec. 13, former model Kayti Edwards, who also happens to be the granddaughter of legendary actress Julie Andrews, shared photos kissing Dax Shepard that she claimed were from 2009 — two years after he began dating now-wife Kristen Bell. She also alleged that they slept together the same night, but now he’s denying that he ever cheated on his Frozen actress love.

“That photo is 13 years old, not 9,” said the Parenthood star alongside a screenshot of the Daily Mail interview. That would mean that they were taken in 2005, which is also when Kayti said she first met Dax and began casually dating him. The actor went on to question Kayti’s honesty, saying, “Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me. I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it’s about my #1, Brad Pitt :)” We’re glad he’s got a sense of humor about the whole situation!

Dax and Kristen are one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, and fans were so relieved to hear Dax’s side of the story. “Woman nice try, but no one would ever believe this one 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️🙏🏼 sorry this is out there though!” said one. It seems like Dax didn’t have much choice but to respond, as fans were horrified by the allegations. Kayti claimed that after meeting and briefly dating Dax in 2005, she ran into him again at a 2009 party. She claimed that he pulled her into a photo booth and made out with her, before going back to a home she was house-sitting and having sex. Kayti shared the photo booth pictures with Daily Mail, and at first glance, they look pretty damning. But if they are, in fact, from 2005, that explains everything — Dax didn’t start dating Kristen until 2007.
