If you thought David Eason was going to stay quiet during his split from Jenelle Evans, we’re not sure you were following the right celebrity. Less than a week after his estranged wife announced that she plans to file for divorce, he’s been throwing shade left and right on Instagram. In his latest call out, posted on Monday, November 4, he decided to bring the family’s pets into it. While sharing a photo of his dogs and goats on Instagram, the former Teen Mom 2 dad seemed to subtly insult his ex.

“At least these guys know how to keep me company!” David, 31, captioned the photo from his homestead life. “I love my herd!” Though he turned off comments on the post to keep fans from calling him out, it was clear to his followers that the post was taking aim squarely at his wife. After all, just days earlier, she announced that she and her kids had left him.

Jenelle, 27, shared the news on Thursday, October 31. “I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she wrote. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty, but it’s been my life. Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids, and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently, and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now. … The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end, but I know that’s what is best for me and for my kids. Today, I’ve filed papers to start that process.”

Since then, David has called out Jenelle over reports that she plans to fight him for full custody. He’s also posted a photo of daughter Ensley despite the fact that she no longer lives with him. And when fans called him out about the divorce — or even just asked what appeared to be innocent questions — he’s fired back. “How do you feel after your split with your wife? Do you feel likes it’s for the best?” one fan wanted to know. When another accused the MTV alum of “avoiding [the] question” and suggested that the whole thing is a publicity stunt, he clapped back, “Your profile picture is a publicly stunt, because you don’t have one single follower.” Seems like he’s handling the breakup well.
