In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller insists she’s not the bully she’s often made out to be.

“I’m to the point now where I respect and listen to my kids,” the Pittsburgh native tells the mag. “Teaching children is my one true love.”

In response to being asked about how she feels being called a bully, Abby Lee explains, “I don’t think it’s true. I’m a tough coach, but if I’m giving you my time, my energy, my tutelage — you have to give back. You have to make me proud of you.”

“I wasn’t put on this earth to make kids feel special,” Abby, 49, continues. “I was put here to make them dance.”
