Hold up. Are we seeing things? The Duggars‘ rebel cousin Amy King was once reportedly “not allowed” to talk to her famous family, but now it seems as though they’ve reconnected. In a new Counting On clip, released Sept. 17, the 31-year-old showed up to the girls’ singing lesson for their new album, and TBH, we’re still confused. Watch the video below for more!

Back in June, a source told Radar Online that Amy had been “silenced” by her family. “Amy is not allowed to talk about the Duggars anymore,” they said. In fact, she wasn’t even allowed to post photos with them. “Amy went through her Instagram and had to delete all the pictures she had with her cousins,” the source added.

Amy has long been known as the rebel in her family — yes, even more so than Jinger! — due to her outspoken views on religion and homosexuality. Recently, the 31-year-old spoke out against the family’s church on social media. “I have to be honest, and true to myself by tweeting this. I do not support Bill Gothard and the Institute of Biblical [sic] Life Principles in any way, shape, or form. I find his ‘teachings’ extremely questionable,” she wrote earlier this year. “I am a Christian. I believe in God’s good Grace and freedom to be ourselves! God gave us emotions, personalities, and He wants us to live our best life. Legalism is the opposite of what my Bible teaches.”

The much more liberal cousin of the Duggars even posted a NSFW snap a few months back. “I took a pic of me relaxing in the tub just knees down… but I forgot the faucet is reflective and OMG… now I’m horrified and deleted it so quickly but still!!!! #neveragain #nobubbles #ahhhhhh.”

Jeez, no wonder she was estranged for a while! I wonder why Jim Bob suddenly had a change of heart? Or should I say, happy heart? (Sorry, I had to.)
