TLC Released a New Trailer for ‘Counting On’ and Spoiler Alert, We Can Expect a Lot of Babies
It's almost here! The new season of Counting On is less than two weeks away, and another trailer has been released for your viewing pleasure. The show's Facebook page shared the clip on Monday, and spoiler alert, we can expect a wedding… and lots of babies!
Unfortunately, the teaser just reiterates what we already know. The 30-second clip reveals Josiah and Lauren get engaged and Joy-Anna, Kendra, and Jinger get pregnant. Fast forward a few months, however, and the couple has since gotten married and Joy and Kenny have given birth. Not to mention, Jinger is just days away from meeting her baby girl! As a result, fans are pretty pissed.
"You all show everything ahead of time, and when the show airs, we already know what's going on. I get bored with it when you do that," someone said, addressing TLC. Another agreed, adding, "Cool, so we only get to see the stuff we have already seen on social media months ago… keep up TLC, please!" A third, however, defended the network. "They don't show anything ahead of time… the individual 'stars' of the show post stuff on their individual social media pages. You can't blame TLC for that." A second chimed in, "Every reality show does this."
The show's seventh season concluded on March 26 with Joe and Kendra's wedding planning and a baby announcement from Joy and Austin. In the weeks that followed, TLC made no mention of Season 8, but they had been dropping hints that it wasn't over — like, oh, a trailer!
On April 13, TLC released the first clip of what fans could expect to see, so it's certainly been a long time coming. Luckily, we're now just 12 days away from the big premiere. But who's counting?
Counting On premieres Monday, July 30 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
