Christina El Moussa is living her best life. The Flip or Flop star, who split from husband Tarek in December, is finally in a good place, personally and professionally. In fact, she told Life & Style her divorce has “definitely” made her stronger.

Since Tarek and Christina called it quits after seven years, they’ve been plagued with messy rumors, but the 34-year-old was quick to clarify that “no one was cheating” in their marriage. She also got a laugh out of claims that she “had champagne taste and Tarek was a beer can kind of guy.” She added, “I learned that you have to have thick skin. I just learned that I know who I am, my friends know who I am, and I really have not let it affect me.”

That kind of perspective likely comes from finding a new love — specifically, 55-year-old businessman Doug Spedding, whom the reality star has been seeing for the last few months. The two dated before her marriage to Tarek, and reignited that flame at a hockey game this year. They’ve since taken things to the next level with a romantic Bali getaway over the summer. She gushed, “I’m really happy. Everything’s going great in my current relationship. We just get along really well, and we’re really good friends, too. We have a lot of fun together.”

It helps that the HGTV star’s kids — daughter Taylor, 7, and two-year-old son Brayden — have created a bond with Doug’s six children. “Four of them are older, and he has twin girls that are 10,” she detailed. “The girls get along really well with Taylor and she looks up to them. They love swimming in my pool and barbecuing and going on the boat, just doing stuff like that.”

Meanwhile, the California blonde is still adjusting to co-parenting with Tarek, which she admitted includes a lot of “give and take.” However, she said they’re both grateful to be able to witness their children’s milestones, like when Taylor recently lost three teeth in a matter of weeks. She recalled, “Two teeth fell out in my house and one tooth fell out at Tarek’s, so it’s nice we got to take turns being the tooth fairy!”

The single mom keeps herself busy when the kids are at their dad’s Newport Beach, CA rental with her new French bulldog, Cash, who is quite a handful. “Puppies are a lot of work. It’s like having a third kid,” she confessed. That’s as close to having a third as she’s going to get, though, as the house flipper is “done having kids.” She explained, “I got lucky, I have a boy and a girl. I’m perfectly content where I’m at.”

It’s probably for the best, considering she has a lot on her plate with the upcoming seventh season of Flip or Flop, the series’ longest one yet at 20 episodes. And yes, you’ll see her and Tarek working side-by-side in the December premiere. “It’s going good,” she shared. “At the beginning, when everything first started, it was a lot harder because, you know, there was more tension between the two of us. Now, it’s gotten a lot easier.” She also credited their “really great crew” for keeping the mood “light” and “positive” on set.

Outside of reality TV, Christina has her hands full with real estate investment seminars, a collaboration with Pink Dust Cosmetics, her Diff eyewear collection, and a book in the works. “I love being busy. I like working hard,” she reasoned. “There’s so many new opportunities coming my way. It’s nice to be able to kind of start over. It’s refreshing. It’s fun.”
