He’s finally speaking out! Chris Lopez — the father of Kailyn Lowry’s unborn child — has remained suspiciously quiet since she outted him as her third baby daddy. At least until now! Find out what he has to say about the Teen Mom 2 star and her MTV show in the video below.

As In Touch previously reported, the two had a casual relationship when the baby was conceived; since revealing her pregnancy back in February, Kail has made it clear that Chris didn’t plan on being involved in her pregnancy or the child’s life, though sources have shared that she’s still hopeful that he’ll step up to the plate once the baby is here. “Kailyn is praying that Chris has a change of heart and he will want to be a dad after the baby is born,” a source recently revealed. “Kail’s own father upped and left when she was really young, so she knows what it’s like to grow up without a dad, and she really doesn’t want the same for her baby.”

Since announcing her pregnancy, some critics have been vocal about her decision to have a child with another man just months after finalizing her divorce from Javi Marroquin. However, she’s stood by her decision — explaining that after suffering a miscarriage in late 2015, she’s previously been told that she wouldn’t be able to have kids in the future.

When announcing her pregnancy on her blog, she explained her decision to wait to announce and revealed her health issues. “Please know this is a choice I made, I already know some won’t agree but I’ve been showered with support by the ones I love since I found out… I’ve had a lot of health complications leading up to this pregnancy and I was not ready to release such private information on my own just yet being that I am so high risk with this pregnancy,” she wrote, adding that she was nearly forced to announce because people close to her “leaked” the information. “I didn’t want to announce just to have another miscarriage and suffer through another grief.”
