Nailed it! Ridiculousness star Chanel West Coast celebrated the release of her new song, “Anchors,” earlier this week by getting a fresh nail set inspired by the single. TBH, there is no better way to commemorate such a big moment than getting a manicure.

“#Anchors nails,” the 30-year-old wrote as the caption of the post. Chanel definitely was feeling herself and her mani and she showed off the unique design. One nail featured a blue-and-white striped design, another nail featured a blue base with a white anchor design, and the other three nails featured silver sparkles. To add some more bling, a few nails seemed to be encrusted with some nautical charms like seashells and pearls.

The reality star has been promoting her new single on Instagram since it dropped on Friday, August 30. She also revealed the reason why this song has a different vibe than most of her other tracks. “For those who always ask why I rap and not sing more …. well …. I can write raps by myself in my damn sleep LOL. I cannot write singing songs as well. At least not melodies that truly show off my vocal range,” Chanel wrote on Instagram. “So I teamed up with @kaydence & she helped me get MY feelings and MY story out by cowriting this amazing song with me. This song would be nothing without her and shout out to @9amofficial for slaying the beat too! A lot of artists don’t shout out their cowriters (or ghostwriters I should say) but I write plenty myself I ain’t got s–t to hide 😂 Hope you all enjoy the song and video! 🙏🏼💙.”

Chanel also opened up about the special meaning behind the music video for her new song. “This video is a metaphor for how I feel in life. Been struggling, sweating, blood and tears, crawling through the damn desert trying to find my musical oasis and every time I get there right to the edge of the oasis ready to swim something gotta pull me back down like an anchor,” Chanel wrote in a separate post on Instagram. “Feel like I’m drowning for real sometimes but … I’m like a raft. I’m like Rose on the door in Titanic. I FLOAT bitch 😂 I’m gonna stay afloat no matter WHO tries to sink my ship! 💪🏼.”
