Chanel West Coast Calls Out MTV After Her Face Was Blocked on ‘Ridiculousness’: ‘Can We Fire Someone?’
She means business! Chanel West Coast was very salty with MTV after her face was blocked by an VMAs ad on Ridiculousness. She took to Instagram on Monday, August 26, to air her grievances with the network, but even she had to admit, it was kind of funny.
“Hey @mtv can we please fire someone?” the TV personality, 30, wrote under a slide show of screenshots where her face is completely covered by the moon man countdown. “What person with no common sense puts the countdown graphics at top of screen???? They should be at bottom of screen always. This is [the] second year in a row you covered my face with a countdown ALL day for numerous episodes.”
Several fans were getting a kick out of the post and shared their thoughts in the comments. “How dare they do that to you, queen,” one wrote, while another added, “I was thinking the same thing. It was annoying.” A third joked, “Damn they did u like Mike from Monsters Inc.”
“It’s kinda dumb. But also, really funny! Thanks! 😂😂😂😂,” she added. At least she has a good sense of humor and we all know she loves to laugh. Her Instagram bio reads, “Rapper/Singer/Professional Laugher,” not a bad skill set if you ask us.
Despite her angst, Chanel still walked the 2019 VMAs red carpet. The rapper looked fierce in a tiger print dress featuring a cinched waistline, and she completed her glamorous look with smokey eyeshadow and voluminous hair. She brought out her model side for the carpet, but still showed us her bubbly self.
Besides cohosting on Ridiculousness and highlighting her iconic giggle, Chanel has big plans. She is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label and still pursues a career in modeling. Come on, MTV, this girl is too great to be covering her face!
