This is heartbreaking.
Celebrities like Selena Gomez and Katy Perry took to Twitter to react to the horrific news of an explosion killing at least 22 people and injuring 59 during an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England on Monday, May 22.
Emergency services responded to the scene when an explosion rocked the arena just after the singer left the stage. The Manchester police department confirmed the attack was carried out by a lone suspect carrying a bomb.
"The attacker, I can confirm, died at the arena. We believe the attacker was carrying an improvised explosive device, which he detonated, causing this atrocity," said Chief Constable Ian Hopkins.
According to the Associated Press, ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing.
Following the incident, "Arianators" and celebrities used social media to express their shock, prayers and utter disbelief.
