She’s putting family first! Cardi B announced that she will no longer be joining Bruno Mars on tour, in a statement via Instagram on July 26. The rapper was originally supposed to be the special guest for the last leg of his highly anticipated 24K Magic tour, but she decided to opt out after the birth of her precious baby girl.

“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” Cardi wrote to her fans. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.” She explained that hitting the road would take a toll on her physically because she needs time to rest, and it also wouldn’t be the best decision for her daughter Kulture Kiari. Cardi made sure to let the world know that she put a lot of thought into her choice.

Cardi’s caption read: “I hope you guys understand. This has been such a hard decision. I want to thank @brunomars for understanding.” Cardi’s daughter was only born a few weeks ago on July 10, so several fans were praising her as well as sending very supportive messages.

“Yessss! So proud of you. Enjoy every moment of motherhood,” one wrote, while another sweetly added: “You made an excellent decision… I’m so proud of you!”

Cardi previously rocked the stage while she was very pregnant, and she admitted that it was going to be her last show “for a while” on April 25. And luckily she had the support of Bruno, who took to both Instagram and Twitter to share the kindest words. “We love you Cardi and we will play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honor,” he wrote. Cardi’s had quite an exciting few years, from her chart-topping singles to welcoming her first child with Offset and secretly tying the knot back in Sept. 2017. We’re just glad to see her enjoying every ounce of it!
