No shame! Caitlyn Jenner poked fun at her gender transition on Comedy Central’s The Roast of Alec Baldwin special, which premieres on Sunday, September 15. “All of you are making these silly comments and jokes about how I kind of cut it off,” the 69-year-old said, referring to uh, a male’s body part. “Let me remind you — it made Kylie Jenner, the youngest self-made billionaire in history. It made Kendall Jenner, the highest paid model in the world. I raised 10 children. I currently, well I am coming up on 20 grandchildren. I didn’t cut it off, I just retired it. It was done!”
Other celebrities including Robert De Niro, Sean Hayes and Joel McHale took shots at Alec Baldwin, 61, throughout the night. However, Kendall’s ex Blake Griffin took a dig at her famous dad. “Look, for real, I know we are all here making fun of Caitlyn, but honestly, I want to take this moment to publicly say thank you. As an athlete, I want to thank you for your bravery. As a human, I want to thank you for the doors you have opened. And on behalf of the entire NBA and half of the rappers on the Billboard charts, I want to thank you for giving your daughters their daddy issues,” the 30-year-old basketball star joked at the event. Luckily, it seems like it was all in good fun.
The I Am Cait alum came out as transgender in April 2015. During an interview with Diane Sawyer in 2017, Cait announced that she underwent gender reassignment surgery. “I wasn’t less a woman the day before I had the surgery than the day after the surgery because that did not define who I am as a human being,” she explained. “I’ve grown in Caitlyn. It’s tough to take 65 years of being Bruce and being male, and then, like, overnight, everything changes. At first, you don’t know how to handle it.”
These days, Caitlynn is happily dating her partner, Sophia Hutchins. Khloé Kardashian — Caitlyn was previously married to Khlo’s mom, Kris Jenner — even approves of her relationship. “She’s really, really sweet too. She’s really sweet. She’s younger, but like, she’s not bothering anyone. She’s super sweet,” the 35-year-old KUWTK starlet told Laura Wasser during her “Divorce Sucks with Laura Wasser” podcast in May.
Live your best life, Caitlyn!
