He is sticking by his female co-stars! In an exclusive interview with In Touch, One Tree Hill alum Bryan Greenberg revealed how he supported his former cast mates after they came forward with sexual assault allegations against show runner Mark Schwahn.

“I was taken back by the allegations and you know, I was kind of in and out of that show on the first three seasons, so I wasn’t sticking around. I kind of came and went, so a lot of things that happened on that show I wasn’t really part of,” Bryan, who played Jake on the beloved teen drama, said via phone on Friday.

“There were a lot of people on that show I never met. I wasn’t aware of what was going on, but I called them to tell them I’m sorry I didn’t know and I’m so sorry that they had to endure that. I was just really saddened by the news and told them I support them and I’m proud of them for speaking up.”

Actresses Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz — who played Brooke Davis, Peyton Sawyer, and Haley James on the long-running series — along with some crew members penned an open letter voicing their support for OTH writer Audrey Wauchope, who accused Mark of inappropriate behavior.

“Many of us were, to varying degrees, manipulated psychologically and emotionally. More than one of us is still in treatment for post-traumatic stress. Many of us were put in uncomfortable positions and had to swiftly learn to fight back, sometimes physically, because it was made clear to us that the supervisors in the room were not the protectors they were supposed to be. Many of us were spoken to in ways that ran the spectrum from deeply upsetting, to traumatizing, to downright illegal. And a few of us were put in positions where we felt physically unsafe. More than one woman on our show had her career trajectory threatened,” it read.

Elsewhere, the letter read, “We are all deeply grateful for Audrey’s courage. For one another. And for every male cast mate and crew member who has reached out to our group of women to offer their support these last few days. They echo the greater rallying cry that must lead us to change: Believe Women. We are all in this together.”

In Touch spoke with Bryan and his wife, Gifted star Jamie Chung, as they teamed up with Braun to promote their amazing products amid the holiday season. “A couple of the boys on [Gifted] have clean-shaved faces, and they have to do it every day,” Jamie shared. “Blair [Redford] was mentioning — he plays Thunderbird — that whenever he does a really close shave, it really irritates his skin and the only thing that works is Braun.”

“I thought it would be a good idea for Bryan since I’m always trying to get him to clean up. When they asked to partner up, I thought it was perfect because I never know what to get him. He’s like, the hardest person to shop for during the holidays.”
