Brody Jenner’s Mom Linda Thompson Supports Him Amid Split Drama: ‘You Make Your Mother Proud’
Making his mom proud! The Hills: New Beginnings star Brody Jenner has been involved in one of Hollywood’s most scandalous love triangles in years after his ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter, was spotted hooking up with Miley Cyrus — who is also currently estranged from her husband, Liam Hemsworth. But through all the drama, Brody’s mom, Linda Thompson, definitely approves of the way her son has been carrying himself through such a difficult time in his life.
“As always, I am so proud of the upstanding, LOYAL, & loving true gentleman that you are Brody! You make your mother proud. ❤️💜👍👏🙌#class #dignity #nobility #strength #understanding #kindness,” Linda, 69, wrote in the comments section of Brody’s latest Instagram post.
The 35-year-old had taken to Instagram on Friday, August 16, to share a statement about where he currently stands with Kaitlynn, 30, and defended her amid all of the backlash she’s been getting online. “There is far too much negativity being directed at someone who I love and care about ver much,” Brody wrote. “I feel the need to set the story straight. Kaitlynn and I have been best friends for six years, and we continue to be.”
“We, like many others before us and many after us, grew in different directions over those same six years,” he told fans. “Kaitlynn is a wonderful person, beautiful and fun to be with, always a positive force in my life. We decided the best move for both of us was to keep our love for each other strong but move forward separately with our lives. I respect Kaitlynn and care deeply about her. She deserves to be able to move forward in her life with respect and happiness.”
On August 2, In Touch confirmed that Brody and Kaitlynn had called it quits after five years together and one year of marriage — although they were never legally married, according to Us Weekly.
