Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco Split After 2-Month Whirlwind Romance
It’s over! Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco broke up after more than two months of dating, Us Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, October 29. The Hills star and model were first romantically linked back in August — just nine days after his divorce from Kaitlynn Carter was confirmed. Brody and Josie hadn’t been shy about flaunting their relationship on social media, but things seemingly fizzled out before the pair got serious.
Although their relationship was short-lived, the spark was definitely hot. “If you didn’t know better, you’d think Brody and Josie were dating for some time now,” a source exclusively told In Touch about the gorgeous duo. “Their chemistry is off the charts. She’s a lot younger than him, she’s super sexy and he’s really good looking. They can’t keep their hands off of each other. They’re clearly a good match.”
The newly minted exes were introduced by Brody’s reality costars Brandon Thomas Lee and Frankie Delgado. Fans first got suspicious of their current status when all the photos of each other were deleted off Instagram.
While Brody, 36, and Josie, 22, were heating up this fall, the reality stud’s ex Kaitlynn famously rebounded with Miley Cyrus — who was also on the heels of her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. The pop star and Kaitlynn split after a month of packing on the PDA. “Their romance didn’t fizzle out, it just ran its course. That’s it,” an insider told In Touch exclusively about their breakup.
Although the Princes of Malibu star and blonde beauty called things off after six years together, there is no saltiness between them.
The MTV personality rallied to Kaitlynn’s defense when people accused her of developing feelings for someone else while still married. “There is far too much negativity being directed at someone who I love and care about very much. I feel the need to set the story straight,” Brody wrote on Instagram at the time. “Kaitlynn and I have been best friends for six years, and we continue to be. We, like many others before us and many after us, grew in different directions over those same six years. Kaitlynn is a wonderful person, beautiful and fun to be with, always a positive force in my life. We decided the best move for both of us was to keep our love for each other strong but move forward separately with our lives. I respect Kaitlynn and care deeply about her. She deserves to be able to move forward in her life with respect and happiness.”
