Following his dreams! Britney Spears is “very supportive” of her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, as he continues pursuing his passion for acting, an insider exclusively tells In Touch. The singer tries “as best as she can” to be there for the Hollywood hunk despite her crazy schedule. “They always make time for each other when he’s filming,” the source says. “He is always there for her, and she’s on his mind all of the time [while they’re working].”

Sam, 26, has already landed acting roles in the 2019 movie Can You Keep a Secret? and an episode of NCIS. He’s also appeared in a couple of music videos, including Fifth Harmony‘s  “Work From Home” and his girlfriend’s “Slumber Party” featuring Tinashe, where the two met for the first time. You’ll be able to see the star in a new gig when season 2 of BET’s The Family Business hits screens in June 2020. He is currently repped by BAC talent.

Though Britney, 38, has been wary in the past about dating men who are hoping to capitalize on her star power, she’s not concerned about Sam. “What Britney really admires in Sam is that he has his own independent career,” a second source says. “She felt used by some of her exes and, looking back, is convinced that they were only after her money and fame, but she knows that Sam’s not like that. She’s really proud of him for being so ambitious.”

Though the 26-year-old would “love [to] become Hollywood’s next big thing,” he “will 100 percent continue expanding his health and fitness business ventures, which he loves.” The insider reveals that he’s hoping to combine his two skill sets by playing physical roles. “His dream [job] would be to play an action hero, like Bond or [a] muscly villain in a movie,” they share.

The fitness professional has also always supported the singer and had her back. In December 2019, he even took to social media to stand up for her against Internet trolls. After commenters criticized Britney’s Christmas tree (of all things), he politely but firmly told everyone to back off. “It’s so easy [for people] to cyber attack and hide behind their phones and write mean comments,” he wrote on Instagram. “But when they run into you in real life, all of [a] sudden they act like they have been such a huge fan and want a picture. 🤔 #HaterPlease.”

That’s not the only time Sam “[made] her feel safe.” Being with him is the only thing that helps her be comfortable heading outside for nature hikes in public, something they love to do together. “They spend a lot of time outdoors and will go walking in her neighborhood at the park and do ‘normal’ things,” a second source told In Touch in September 2019. “That’s what she really craves, normalcy.”
