Last year’s Teen Mom 2 reunion got pretty messy. But this year, Briana DeJesus says things are going to be different. No, not because everyone is going to be totally respectful of each other and maturely decide to put the drama behind them. According to the MTV star, this year is going to be different because the Teen Mom girls are all filming their reunion segments separately. Yep, instead of hoping that they can rely on their cast to not get into physical fights, the production crew has apparently decided that they’re better off safe than sorry. In a new interview with Radar Online, Briana, 24, revealed that “everyone is being separated.” Check out the gallery below to get the full details on the Teen Mom 2 reunion filming.

Jenelle Evans Filming 'Teen Mom 2' Scenes With Briana DeJesus

Last year, things got violent.

In June 2018, Briana’s costar Kailyn Lowry admitted that things got a little heated while filming the show. Though she shared on her podcast, Coffee Convos, that a fight broke out, she clarified that “Briana and I did not hit each other.”

But they did try.

“I did confront her in a room, no cameras, and yes, I did want to punch her and yes, I did try. The security guards got me before I could,” she added. But it wasn’t long before Briana’s sister got involved, too.

Things escalated on stage.

When Briana and Brittany DeJesus came out, Kail described them as “guns blazing.” She continued, “I can’t say that I was surprised. … But, I certainly didn’t expect for Brittany to come up behind me and pull my hair. I did not expect that.”

It affected other cast members, too.

The day after the fight broke out, Chelsea Houska even refused to return to the set. “I [felt] bad for Chelsea because she [is] pregnant and I had promised her I was never going to fight in front of her,” Kail confessed. “Chelsea is a really good friend of mine, so that bothered me a lot.”

The drama continued on Twitter.

While watching the reunion air in August 2018, the two moms couldn’t help but continue to snipe at each other. “This whole situation would [have] never happened if [people] minded their business on who I was f–king,” Briana tweeted and later deleted. “I popped off in front of cameras ’cause I was tired of things being done secretly and [people] playing the victim.”

Some thought the whole fight was orchestrated.

Online, Chelsea and her dad, Randy Houska, suggested that MTV had planned it. “I firmly believe it was all set up with Briana ahead of time to flip out like that,” Randy wrote. “I had voiced concerns and honestly was just like, ‘Look, go ahead and get your drama or whatever you’re wanting, but please just let me know so I can not be in the middle of it right now,'” Chelsea added. “That’s why I was so upset. Looking back … I wish I would’ve listened to my gut feeling and not have gone to filming that day at all.”

Unfortunately, it was all real.

And according to Briana, it was actually worse than it seemed. In an interview with Radar published March 28, the star shared, “While no one knows this, I actually got hurt last year at the reunion.”

It was serious.

“When everything started to go down and I was backstage being held back by security, I ended up falling and scraping the bone on my leg,” she said. “It was so bad that I almost needed stitches.”

She ended up with a “bad scar.”

“Even though I’m clearly way past all that dramatic BS, it’s something I’ll literally physically never be able to forget.” After all, she’s got the proof on her body — and short of plastic surgery, she’ll have that reminder forever.

She thinks the drama surprised even MTV.

“It was the first reunion someone got actually physically injured and I think they thought there’d be too much risk of something going down again,” she continued — and she suspects that’s exactly why MTV decided to change things up this time around.

This year, things will be different.

“I keep getting asked this year if I’m going to have a fight with Kail or with Javi at the reunion and what will happen when and if we cross paths,” Briana admitted. She’s got no plans to start a fight and “there’s no beef that [she has] with Kail,” but it turns out that she won’t have the opportunity either.

No one’s filming together.

“Regardless of how I feel about things now, everyone is being segregated/separated this year, so we won’t cross paths.” That means that Briana and Kail will be filming their segments on separate days — and, for the record, so will everyone else.

In the past, Jenelle’s filmed on her own.

For the August 2018 episode, the crew came to her in North Carolina. But according to Briana, “This will be the first time in Teen Mom history I believe that the entire cast is not on stage together for any part of the show.” And considering everything that’s gone down in the past year, that’s probably for the best.

Back in December 2018, Kail and Jenelle had an explosive fight.

After the podcast host sent her coworker a package of her new hair care products as a peace offering, Jenelle literally set them on fire. “You’re an idiot cuz this is what I do for gifts sent from fake ass bitches like you,” she wrote on social media. “Stay our [sic] of my life, go worry about your own.”

Briana and Leah even got involved.

Briana came out as Team Jenelle right away, and when the drama aired on MTV, Leah Messer decided to throw some shade of her own. “@KailLowry send me some stuff to set on fire,” she joked on Twitter.

And there was that Babs mess, too.

In January 2019, Barbara Evans joked during an Instagram Live with Jenelle and Brittany that they should “get lit” and “go kill Kail.” Though Jenelle immediately told her mom that she “can’t say that s–t,” all three women started laughing. Kail, however, didn’t think it was very funny.

Things got real.

Jenelle and her mom called the comment “a stupid f–king joke,” but not everyone was laughing. “I’m disgusted,” Kail said at the time. “I won’t be filming until further notice, that’s for sure,” she continued — and the drama legit almost shut down production

So it’s probably best that they’re filming apart.

And Briana’s not bothered by the decision. “I’m going to be with my family and with [my boyfriend] John and that’s all I care about,” she told Radar. “At the end of the day, my life is so good, and things are going so well without her or Javi in it. … They’re of no importance or relevance to me and I’m just keeping it moving forward.”
