No regrets. Bradley Cooper and his longtime girlfriend, Irina Shayk, may have called it quits, but the actor has nothing but love for his ex. A source told In Touch exclusively that their seemingly amicable breakup has to do with their daughter.

“Their daughter Lea is the best thing that’s ever happened to Bradley, so he doesn’t have any regrets,” the source revealed. “He’ll always care about Irina, but it’s reached the point where neither of them want to continue sacrificing their happiness to stay stuck in a bad relationship.”

On Thursday, June 6, a separate insider divulged to In Touch that the duo split after four years together. While neither party has commented on the exact reason for their demise, a source told Us Weekly that their relationship issues had “nothing to do” with Bradley’s A Star Is Born costar Lady Gaga.

Romance rumors first started swirling while the two were filming the blockbuster movie. However, the “Shallow” songstress addressed the speculation while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in February. “First of all … social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal,” Gaga told the host in regard to their on-screen chemistry. “People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song.”

She continued: “From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.”

In Touch previously reported that Bradley and Irina had been “on the verge of splitting for months.” According to insiders, the two had “tried to make it work for the sake of their daughter,” but the reality was that they “both have busy lives and careers which has made the process very long and drawn out.”

However, one source insisted to In Touch that Bradley, 44, and Irina, 33, “never had a strong foundation to begin with,” and have “very little in common.”

Sigh. RIP, love!
