Looks like Brad Pitt is getting ready to spill the tea!
A source close to the actor, 53, reveals that he has big plans to share his personal journey since his divorce from Angelina Jolie, as he has found solace in journaling — and having chronicled nearly 300 pages of his life story, he’s considering publishing his diary.
The father-of-six has been spending most of his free time “writing in his journal,” the source tells In Touch exclusively. “At the beginning it was just to get all of his thoughts out there in a very concise manner so that he could share it with his therapist. But it started to become a lifeline for Brad as he pieced together his new life without Angie.”
And being that it was originally intended solely for his eyes and his therapist’s, he did not hold back when it came to his marriage to, and subsequent separation from, his partner of more than a decade.
“[Brad] is extremely blunt and authentic in describing what led to the breakdown of his marriage to Angie,” the source explains, adding that he was willing to share his insights with what he think went wrong with his estranged wife, but she declined. “Angie said she wasn’t interested in reading it and expressed concern about Brad releasing any sort of book because of the impact it could have on their kids."
But so far, Brad is unmoved by her arguments. The source adds, “He believes that by releasing the book, he can help others with similar issues.”
Recently, Brad Pitt has been surprisingly candid when it comes to his divorce. In his first interview after the split, he told GQ Style about how he is enjoying clarity since giving up alcohol.
“I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that. I mean, I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family,” he explained. “But even this last year, you know — things I wasn’t dealing with. I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem.”
