He’s the father of murdered beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey and she’s the mother of missing Aruba teen Natalee Holloway. Together, the two shared a common bond in what can only be described as a match made in true crime history.

After reportedly meeting at a fundraiser in December 2006, John Ramsey and Beth Holloway Twitty hit it off, though his attorney, Lin Wood, told the Daily News at the time that they were just “friends.” He added, “They share common interests and concerns related to their children, particularly with respect to the actions of law enforcement and the media in response to those tragic losses.”

But at least for a time, it appeared they were more than that. In 2007, People reported that, although John lived in Michigan and Beth in Mountain Brook, AL, the two had been seen holding hands and kissing in her hometown, as well as attending art shows and eating in restaurants together.

Natalee Holloway’s stepfather, George Twitty, filed for divorce from Beth in January 2007. The court filing said the couple separated in December and had “such a complete incompatibility of temperament that the parties can no longer live together.” It’s unclear whether or not she’s dating anyone now.

Beth’s daughter, 18, disappeared in Aruba in May 2005 during a high-school trip. Her body has never been recovered and no criminal charges have been filed in the case.

Who is John Ramsey married to now?

John’s wife, Patsy, died of cancer in 2006. In 2011, he tied the knot with Jan Rousseaux, a twice-divorced Las Vegas designer, on July 21 in Charlevoix, MI. “I have no doubt she will be smiling,” John told the National Enquirer of JonBenét, who would have turned 27 on Aug. 6.

The unsolved murder of his six-year-old daughter took place in the family’s Bolder, CO, home on Dec. 26, 1996.
