Monday motivation! Master yoga teacher Shelly Kwiatkouski revealed exclusively to In Touch that yoga has some seriously amazing benefits we should all be taking advantage of.

“Step out of the hustle and bustle and demands of your busy life, and step onto a yoga mat,” Shelly, who teaches at HHYoga in Ormond Beach, Florida, encouraged. “The ancient practice of yoga nourishes the body by increasing your flexibility, building strength, reducing stress and elevating your mood — no matter how old you are.”

The blonde beauty, who has more than 15,000 hours as a yoga instructor, wants new students to open up to “the yeses that shape your life.” She believes practicing yoga is about so much more than just the health and fitness benefits you get from the different physical postures.

“It’s a guide to inner reflection and a better way to connect one’s thoughts, feelings and core values,” she added. “You learn to never judge yourself but rather celebrate your accomplishments.”

Of course, many celebs have been on the yoga train for years. One look at Miley Cyrus‘ Instagram page and it’s clear the girl knows her way around a triangle pose. A devotee of Ashtanga, which is known for its core-strengthening benefits, the 26-year-old star’s fitness philosophy is simple: “Do yoga — or go crazy!”

Friends alum Jennifer Aniston is also a fan of the downward dog. “Yoga changed my life,” said the impossibly fit 50-year-old, who’s been practicing with her longtime instructor, Mandy Ingber, for more than 15 years. “When I started, I noticed my legs getting leaner, my arms getting stronger, and most importantly, I noticed an inner strength. You go, girl!
