Even though they have both produced and starred in many movies together, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are doing something totally different for their next project. The pair will reportedly dress up in drag for an upcoming movie and it was apparently Matt’s idea, an insider revealed to Radar. Hmm, sounds interesting.

The insider continued, “Matt wants to direct a Some Like It Hot-style comedy with Ben as his co-star. The concept is that their characters are brothers and Matt is successful at relationships, while Ben is a macho man about town.” Is this based off real life or something?!

So, what exactly is the potential plot? “They both need money and cook up a plan for Ben to drag it up and infiltrate an exclusive club of wealthy women. He’ll ultimately rip them off — with Matt’s character coaching him through the process!” the source added.

Maybe this is the successful movie the Argo actor has been looking for since he put acting on hold due to a rough year. He went to rehab, finalized his divorce from ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and ended his relationship with Lindsay Shookus, but the one person that has stuck by his side through it all has been his BFF, Matt.

A source told Entertainment Tonight, “When Matt and Ben were young, they loved to party together and have fun, but as soon as Matt realized Ben had issues with substance abuse, he made sure he wouldn’t enable him.” The source continued, “Matt stopped drinking with Ben because in no way does he want to support another downward spiral. Matt is a very loyal, stable, and grounded friend who only wants success and happiness for Ben.” Aw, these two are definitely friendship goals.

It sounds like Ben is grateful to have the The Martian actor in his life. He told Barbara Walters in 2012 that Matt was one of the people he leaned on while he got sober. “I had good friends. I had Matt Damon, I had my brother, and I had a nucleus of good friends that I grew up with and I had support from.”

“Matt’s hoping this movie will get Ben — and his life — back on track!” the insider confessed. Well, we love a good reunion!
