Although Bear Brown of the Discovery Channel’s Alaskan Bush People refers to himself as the “King of Extreme,” being a daredevil has put him in the hospital, according to Radar Online. This time, it wasn’t a crazy stunt that caused Bear’s injury, but rather just regular running around, as one does in the Alaskan wild.

“Bear was running outside, as always, and turned his head into a small tree branch,” the source told Radar. He “sustained a minor eye injury” and went to Spokane, Washington, to the hospital. He was released on Monday and had to wear an eye patch.

He posted a selfie on Instagram showing him in bed with his hospital bracelet — no caption.

“Oh poor baby moron got an oweee, get a life and grow up. Better yet go find a real job,” wrote a hater in a comment. “Hope you OK,” wrote a more sympathetic commenter.

Maybe the Brown family should be closer to hospitals. His brother Noah Brown had to undergo emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder last month. As fans of the show know, the Brown family — Billy, wife Ami and their seven grown children — are so far from civilization that they often go six to nine months each year without seeing anyone outside their clan. That is — until there’s another injury.
