Did Austin Forsyth have pre-proposal jitters? Turns out, he did!

In a new clip, the Counting On star revealed he had his reservations about getting down on one knee in front of Joy-Anna Duggar.

"Waiting for Joy to get there, I was pretty nervous," he said.

On the day of the proposal, Austin waited patiently for his soon-to-be fiancée at a farm where Joy thought she was taking her sisters to go horseback riding.

"When Joy finally arrived, reality did set in like, 'I'm gonna be asking her to marry me,' and that was very surreal."

Austin's dad also helped out with the proposal and joked, "I did bring the ring. I was thinking about teasing him, but I thought, you know what, he's come too far. I won't do it."

At the time, Joy gushed about how he popped the question.

“We just got engaged! I’m so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it’s amazing,” she said. Her now hubby added, “I’m just overwhelmed with emotion. I’m so excited to see what the future holds for us!”

Austin and Joy met 15 years ago when his family moved to Arkansas and began attending the Duggars' church. Yet despite their lengthy friendship, the pair only began courting in November and tied the knot in May.

In June, the reality stars revealed they want to have a large family — maybe even as large as hers!

In an interview with People, the newlyweds said, “We love kids and we’re excited to have a family. We’re just going to see what the Lord does. We want as many as the Lord thinks we can handle and we are putting it into his hands."
