Fans Think Abbie Burnett Is Already Pregnant After John David Duggar’s Latest Instagram

In the Duggar family, girls typically go from announcing a courtship to announcing a pregancy within the span of about a year — so it doesn’t come as much surprise that there’s already plenty of speculation about John David Duggar and his new wife, Abbie Grace Burnett. The couple only shared their first kiss in November at their wedding, but they’d hardly be the first Counting On couple to have a honeymoon baby. And after sharing their latest Instagram post, that’s just what they have fans suspecting.

While celebrating Christmas, the newlyweds posted a photo of themselves all cuddled up in a cozy home. Abbie’s stomach was pretty much covered by her and John’s arms, so there wasn’t much room for baby bump sighting, but fans couldn’t help but notice something else. In their Instagram caption about celebrating Jesus’s birth, it almost seemed like they were announcing a future birth of their own. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given,” they quoted the Bible.

Their followers were quick to voice their theories and questions in the comments. “Are y’all expecting?” was one of the first few responses, and it was followed closely by, “Oooh a baby hint :).” From there, things pretty much took off, with some wondering whether or not the couple had baby news to share and others arguing that it was simply a biblical quote and nothing more. “They’re literally quoting bible verses about baby Jesus because it was Christmas. Not everything is a baby hint,” wrote one fan. Some even argued that, if they were pregnant, they might not know yet.

One fan, though, shared a story of their own that shed some interesting light on the whole situation. “I love that verse and we put it on our Christmas card the first year we were married,” they wrote. “We found out we were expecting three weeks later. We put it on our card the next year with a picture of our baby.” As for John and Abbie, well, we’ll just have to wait to see if they find themselves in a similar situation. But we’re already on bump watch for sure.
