Blast from the past! Angelina Pivarnick revealed that she would love to see original castmate Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola on the spinoff Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, after Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi decided to walk away from the hit MTV reality show.

When asked who should replace Snooki, the TV personality admitted she already had somebody in mind. “I said this in the beginning — like, years ago — that [Sammi] should return, but she’s living her best life,” the 33-year-old told Us Weekly at an event in New York on Monday, December 16.

“She’s getting married soon — good for her,” Angelina added. “She looks so amazing.”

Sammi, 32, appeared on six seasons of the show from 2009 to 2012, but she decided not to return for the highly anticipated spinoff which premiered in 2018, noting how she wanted to avoid putting herself in “potentially toxic situations.”

The brunette beauty fell in love with her current fiancé, Christian Biscardi, after the original series wrapped and he proposed in March 2019. She and her beau are currently planning their nuptials and the date has yet to be announced.

As far as if Sammi’s costars are attending the ceremony, Angelina said it’s up in the air. “I don’t know who [Sammi]’s inviting to the wedding,” she shared. “I don’t know if it’s right now. I don’t know if it’s this year. I think it’s next year, so I don’t know.”

Angelina also addressed how the revival cast will still be entertaining audiences per usual, even without a replacement for Snooki. “It’s only us,” she said. “We’re the only people that can deal with it.”

Just a few days ago, Snooki, 32, opened up about her decision to call it quits after appearing on the series since the beginning.

“I think when I was, like, actually forcing myself to be in a situation that I wasn’t happy in. Like, I was forcing myself to be ‘happy,’ and I’m like, ‘That’s not me.’ I’m not genuinely happy,” she explained on The Mel Robbins Show, which is set to air in January 2020.

“That’s when I’m like, ‘I’m out.'”

“It was really hard, but I had to think about my happiness and where I really wanted myself to be,” the mother of three further explained. “It’s being a mom and being [with my] kids and not drama and drinking … and drama.”
