Anfisa Says She Turned Down ’90 Day Fiancé’ Because They Weren’t Paying Enough

So much drama! Anfisa from 90 Day Fiancé spoke on Instagram about why she and her husband Jorge turned down continuing with the show, and it’s not because her husband is in jail. Anfisa said in the video, “I don’t even understand how some of you can think that being in prison is the reason for us not being on the show when it would actually make a great story.” And she’s…not wrong. That would actually be great footage for a reality TV show. Anfisa claimed in the video that the couple was told they were asking for too much, so she and Jorge decided to walk away.

Previously, Anfisa posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Dec. 2 and wrote a statement indicating she was distancing herself from the TLC reality series. “Well, I’m just letting you know that I’m going in a different direction now, I’m not a part of #90DayFiance, so if you don’t want to see anything other than #90DayFiance related stuff and you want to keep commenting nasty things under my pictures, please unfollow me and move on,” she said.

Then, in the same Instagram Story video about why the couple truly left the show, Anfisa said the production team behind 90 Day Fiancé actually renewed her contract without her consent, as well as Jorge’s. Yikes! She claimed that the show does have some footage of Jorge from when he was in court leading up to his September sentencing, but that they’ve definitely quit. Which is of course their right, especially if they’re being offered a paycheck that’s as low as has been reported — according to a source who spoke to Radar Online, “Before the 90 Days [cast] makes $500 to $1,000 per episode…90 Day Fiancé pays their cast members $1,000 to $1,500 per episode.”

If nothing else, at least Jorge and Anfisa’s fans can still find photos and videos of her on Instagram, regardless of whether they ever appear on TLC again.
