Amina Buddafly Is Spreading Her Wings After ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’

We don’t know a better drama than one that deals with two baby mamas! One of those mamas being Love and Hip Hop: New York star Amina Buddafly (real name Aminata Schmahl). Complicated is an understatement when it comes to Amina’s relationship with rapper Peter Gunz, who has kids with both Amina and Tara Wallace, another star of the reality show and main squeeze of Peter’s since she was 24 years old. Read on to find out more about Amina and how she’s moving on from her reality show days and onto bigger and better things, without Peter… we hope.

Amina fills her Instagram page with positivity, sexy poses, and photos of her kids.

Fans can rest assured that they’ll hear it first and see it first on Amina’s IG page. The “Mommy&MUSICIAN” is always posting footage of her club-circuit performances, snippets of new songs, look-what-you’re-missing snaps (for Peter, most likely), and posts we never saw coming, like the precious daddy-daughter shot Amina shared. Proves that you can still move forward and act civil with an estranged husband.

Right now, Amina is laying down roots in LA for the sake of her kids and her sanity. However, she is keeping an open mind when it comes to dating again: “If it happens, it does, but I’m not looking. I’m going to let it just come to me. Whenever it’s meant to be, it will be,” said Amina back in Feb. 2017. (She officially filed for divorce this Jan.)

With rumors flying left and right, you may be wondering, “Wait, Amina’s been pregnant how many times?” Gossip and drama aside, Amina only has two girls, Cori and Bronx, with Peter Gunz… for now.

She works hard for her money — and Amina’s net worth shows it!

As far as 2017 goes, Amina has a net worth of $600,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Beyond Love and Hip Hop, to help keep the cash flowing, Amina released a book, The Other Woman this past year, where she revealed the orgy she and Peter took part in nights before they got married.

Amina isn’t some one-trick reality star pony. Just this past year, Amina dropped singles from her latest EP, Music in My Room, on her Instagram channel. She also co-produced the songs on her solo album Mymusic. Music is her life! The songstress was a part of the girl group Black Buddafly with her sisters back in Germany (Amina’s nationality is German). They came to New York to be signed with Def Jam and J Records. When her sisters returned to their home country, Amina stayed in New York to start her solo career in 2013 and appear on Love & Hip Hop: New York.

Her solo album Mymusic was digitally released in 2015 and was influenced by Amina’s favorite ’90s R&B female acts like Vogue, Brandy, and Tamia. Even though she lauched a solo career, she’s still tight with her sisters. Amina’s twin Safietou “Jazz” Schmahl actually made a cameo on Love & Hip Hop back in 2015, flying all the way from Germany to see her niece at the time and give Peter a piece of her mind.
