Fans are worried about Amber Portwood after Teen Mom fans on reddit noticed that the 27-year-old’s eyes looked particularly dilated during one episode of the hit reality TV series. Her pupils were significantly larger than her cousin's in the same scene, prompting some to speculate that the change in her appearance could be attributed to drugs.

Shortly after Amber was released from jail in late 2013, she revealed to Dr. Phil that she was high the “entire time” she filmed Teen Mom (prior to it being brought back and re-released as Teen Mom OG). Though she has been committed to sobriety since then, fans took the increased pupil size in the episode “High Hopes” (which originally aired Dec. 18) as a possible hint that she’s back on drugs.

However, some of the mama-to-be’s fans (and other Teen Mom OG viewers) came to her defense on reddit. “There was no indication in her behavior in that scene to indicate she was on an upper of any kind [in my opinion],” one fan wrote. Another added, “I think it’s wrong to assult that the difference in pupil sizes means she’s back on drugs. I have light blue eyes and don’t do any drugs yet my pupils will fluctuate between tiny and so big that you can barely see the blue.”

Even before learning she was pregnant with her second a child, a boy, Amber has made it clear in the past that she’s dedicated to her sobriety. “I think now it’s been five-and-a-half years I’ve been sober, I stopped counting a while ago,” she told People last spring. “I couldn’t do any of this if I weren’t sober. The only thing I am doing is taking medication for my bipolar, borderline personality, and anxiety. In the beginning, you have rough patches, because you are trying out medications and you have to find the right ones for you, but I am doing really good.”

We believe it, girl! Way to keep it up — five years sober is no small feat!
