Amber Portwood Announces the Gender of Baby No. 2 — and It’s a Boy!
Leah’s getting a little brother! Amber Portwood took to Instagram on Friday, Dec. 8, to let her followers know that she and boyfriend Andrew Glennon are expecting a baby boy. The Teen Mom OG star, 27, shared the exciting news by posting a cartoon drawing of a Christmas ornament with “It’s A Boy!” written on it. “Little baby Glennon is on his way!!” she captioned the image.
Amber’s announcement comes more than a month after she revealed that she and Andrew were starting a family together. In an interview with Us Weekly, the 16 and Pregnant alum — who shares daughter Leah, 9, with ex-fiancé Gary Shirley — admitted that she was “a little scared” when she first found out that she was going to be a second-time mom.
“I just kind of sat down and thought about it and realized that it was a big step in my life and it was a good thing actually, and I was really happy within 30 minutes,” she told the publication. “After the initial shock, it was nothing but happy thoughts and just enjoying my time with my boyfriend. We’re both very happy.”
Amber began dating her new man over the summer after meeting while filming Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars with her ex-fiancé Matt. At the time, Andrew was working as part of the reality show’s crew. Despite the quick timeline of their relationship, Amber said the couple’s families couldn’t be more thrilled about their baby. “They ended up being very excited and happy for us, so it all turned out well,” she told Us Weekly. “Andrew just told his family as well and they’re very happy for us.”
