“The rumor that’s circulating is both vicious and completely false,” he said in a statement. “I can’t stand by and allow the media or anyone else to undermine the progress that Amber has made in turning her life around, or the relationship we’ve worked hard to build together.”

He added that while it is him in the pictures, the injuries are the result of “roughhousing” with the boys.

“The photo that surfaced is nothing more than the result of some roughhousing amongst my guy friends. I got butt-kicked by a friend and it was well-deserved, I might add. Now someone is trying to use the pic to paint an untrue picture of our life together. Amber would never lay a hand on me, and I can’t wait to marry the love of my life October.”

Smarty Jones — the gossip blogger who released the images — claims that Amber’s controversial fiancé sent the graphic images to “multiple side chicks” to prove that he was no longer with the Teen Mom OG star.

So far, Amber has remained silent regarding the accusations.

A gossip blogger who frequently covers Teen Mom OG has shared images that purportedly show a beat and battered Matt Baier, after allegedly being attacked by his fiancée Amber Portwood.

The images are especially troubling considering Amber’s past; in 2010, she was charged with domestic battery and neglect after the MTV cameras caught her physically attacking her ex, Gary Shirley, in front of their young daughter, Leah.

“I have no clue why I hurt Gary,” she said at the time. “I sort of do, but it’s kind of beyond myself. I can’t help myself. I have to get help and then help myself. I never notice how bad I am until I see it. And I feel so terrible. And it’s like, did I really do that? The people who are around me, how do they feel? I don’t remember it being that bad at the time. How did Gary feel? What the hell was I doing?”

She continued, “I’m ashamed of the type of human being I am. I don’t think I’m worth the time. I think that Gary can’t get away from me and he needs to find somebody better. There’s better people out there. I care about him so much, but nobody can tell. I don’t treat him the way I feel.”

Gary responded to the claims about about Matt and Amber, tweeting, “I always hated those fingernails!”

So far, neither Amber nor Matt have addressed the text messages and the claims made.

Prior to the messages being leaked, Matt shared a message with his Twitter followers urging people not to believe everything they see online — though it’s unclear if it’s at all related.

“A little wisdom to the Twitterverse: Rumors are created by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots,” he wrote. “Don’t be either.”
