Alaskan Bush People alum Noah Brown and his wife, Rhain Brown (née Rhain Alisha), announced their split after six years of marriage via a statement on TikTok.

“We just wanted you to hear this from us, instead of from somewhere else,” Noah, 32, said while seated alongside Rhain, 34, on Tuesday, January 28, as they clarified why they are spending time apart. “Rhain and I have decided it is in our best interests to separate. We are going to take a break for a while and we are no longer together.”

“I was asked to move out a bit ago, and I am now living in our guest cabin,” he added, explaining that he wanted to be transparent after fans noticed he was no longer filming content in their main house.

Noah mentioned that he still gets to see his sons, Eli, 5, and Adam, 3, and has the boys over the weekends.

The former Discovery Channel star — who is the youngest of Billy Brown and Ami Brown‘s five sons — married Rhain in August 2018. They welcomed son Elijah in February 2019 and son Adam in October 2021.

“I can stop by if I message first, to be able to make sure it’s OK if I see them and everything,” he said as Rhain nodded in approval. “But we are currently taking a break.”

Rhain agreed that absence can make the heart grow fonder, recalling the times when he left for Alaska.

“We just have a lot to work through,” Rhain said. “And that’s it, basically.”

“We’re not here to bash each other, we’re working through this cordially. We’re working through it together,” the mom of two added.

Rhain said that she’s noticed improvements in Noah now that he has his own “space” and “schedule,” pointing out that she is also trying to find herself and feels being separated is what would be the most helpful at this time.

“And likewise, back in the house, I already feel a lot better. Because I don’t have to ask him to do anything, and I just do it myself,” she clarified, later highlighting that “he still gets the kids all the time.”

Noah told listeners that he will try to keep fans in the loop as they navigate their separation. “I personally will not keep anybody updated,” Rhain said.

“The kids are still happy that they see both of us,” Rhain continued in their separation announcement. Noah chimed in to note that he and Rhain are trying to create as “little change for the kids as possible.”

Noah followed up with another video on Tuesday, January 28, revealing that Rhain no longer approves of him featuring their children on his TikTok account.

“She’s OK with them being on Facebook and on Instagram, but feels like the TikTok is too much of a negative thing,” he explained.

Viewers got to know Noah on his family’s now-defunct reality show, Alaskan Bush People, which spanned 14 seasons and followed their adventures from life in Hoonah, Alaska, to later settling in Okanogan County, Washington.

The last episode aired in December 2022.
