Don’t look down! Gabe Brown showed how incredibly brave he is while helping build a new structure on his family’s property, on the upcoming episode of Alaskan Bush People. The reality star put his life at risk while taking on a “dangerous” construction project.

“Gabe just needs to cut off the top of the poles,” Snowbird Brown explained while taking it step-by-step. Here’s where things get tricky: the wooden poles are way too high up in the air for Gabe to reach them — that is, without trying something creative. “He’s just going to stand in the bucket of the skid-steer and Rain’s going to raise him up,” Snowbird says next. Mind you, Rain, 15, is still learning the ropes when it comes to operating heavy machinery.

Using a chainsaw, Gabe starts cutting off the tops of the poles and successfully freaks out his family along the way. “I’m not normally serious, but right now it is super serious,” Snowbird says as Gabe’s loved ones carefully watch his every move in fear. “It is actually pretty dangerous. It’s actually the most dangerous things we’ve done on the job,” she continued. Even Gabe’s brother, Joshua Brown, chimes in: “That does not look incredibly safe.”

After leaving Alaska, the Brown family has been doing their best to adjust to their new life in the Washington state wildnerness. “It’s just nice to wake up in the morning and feel happy, which for a long time I don’t think any of us did,” Gabe previously said about their new home. “We never thought we’d be able to find a property like this outside of Alaska,” Bear added. “It’s so great to have some good stuff coming our way. Things are starting to look up finally.”

Alaskan Bush People airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
