Feel better soon! Billy Brown reportedly has a long history of medical problems and he recently suffered a health scare. The Alaskan Bush People star spent time in the hospital last week due to a upper respiratory infection, but it looks like he’s on the road to recovery.

The family patriarch, 65, is “at home right now in Washington taking care of it,” a rep for Discovery told Radar. Billy “has been coughing a lot lately, and needed time to heal. But everyone is hopeful that he will be OK,” another source told the site about how he’s doing. “Billy has been a rock for his family and it’s been a hard year. He always put them first but right now he must focus on his own health and making sure he is OK so that he can continue to be there for them.”

The Brown family had to relocate multiple times over the past two years before settling in a rural area of Washington state in early 2018, which hasn’t been easy. Ami Brown‘s lung cancer battle has also reportedly “taken a toll” on Billy. After spending months in and out of the hospital, Ami is luckily now in remission, but the 54-year-old will have to undergo tests every three months for the rest of her life. Furthermore, Ami and Billy’s oldest son, Matt Brown, 36, recently returned to rehab for the second time, so there’s been a lot of changes to cope with.

“It’s hard not having one of my babies here with us. He was so strong for me, and I want to be strong for him,” Ami previously told People. “We miss him terribly, but we’d rather lose him from home for a little while than lose him forever,” Billy added. “We just want him to do what he needs to do to get better.” Fans are just glad they are all focusing on their health and well-being right now!
