She’s missing her furry friend! Though Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown recently adopted a new, adorable pooch, she’s still mourning one of the other pets she’s loved and lost. On Monday, May 27, the teen took to social media to pay tribute to a cat that she used to have. Opening up about her feelings, the star admitted the she still thinks about her old cat Chippy even though he’s been gone for a while.

“Missing you so much tonight, Chippy,” Rain, 16, shared on Instagram. “I’m surrounded by loving fur babies. But none could love me like you. RIP my little prince. It’s hard to believe you’re gone.” The caption accompanied a throwback photo of a much younger Rain sleeping next to the fluffy, white cat. In the comments, she further clarified just who Chippy was in her life. “Chippy was a cat we used to have,” she told a fan. “I’ve posted about his passing before.”

Back in March 2018, the star memorialized her cat on the social media site after he’d passed away. “Dear Mr. Chipmunk Cheeks, thank you for your time, your love and all those times you mistook my bed for the litter box,” she wrote. “You will be missed dearly. We rarely get to say goodbye to our loved ones before they go, but I’m glad I got to pet and hold you one last time before I opened the door to let you into heaven. I know you’re still with me, protecting me and loving me when I’m sad. I’m glad that God will get to love you now, and now you’re with your baby sister. Keep my bed warm for when I come home. I love you, my little prince. May you rest in peace. ♥️ September 2014 – March 28, 2018.”

Fans’ love and support came pouring in at the time, and Rain’s followers were more than happy to be here for her again as she was missing Chippy. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart, but he will be waiting for you in heaven where all our fur babies go,” wrote one. “He will always be with you. Still, it hurts so … but you will see his sweet face again,” added another. Luckily, like Rain said, she’s got plenty of other loving fur babies who can help her feel better. She may be missing Chippy, but a cuddle from her new puppy, Jakson, has got to be almost as good.
