He’s doing his best to stay strong. Paul and Karine Staehle’s newborn son, Pierre, is still being hospitalized and the doting daddy is tired of the constant negativity he’s facing on social media. The 90 Day Fiancé star gave an update about their bundle of joy on March 26, and let any haters know they would be blocked and “cut off permanently.” Scroll through the gallery for details.
The TLC star later revealed that Pierre was born with a medical condition called jaundice that has been keeping him in the hospital. Paul is trying to stay positive as a brand new dad and said he’ll be blocking all negative comments at this point.
“I’m very happy, very excited,” Paul told UsWeekly while announcing the big news. “I’m also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad.”
The reality star added, “Anyone can make a baby, but going through the day-to-day process of being a father is going to be a new experience. I’m very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure I do my absolute best for Pierre.”
“Karine began [to have] severe pains on Wednesday. [She] started dilating Thursday and was admitted into the hospital on Thursday,” Paul admitted. “Pierre was born on Friday. But we were instructed to keep everything secret.”
“Pierre, unfortunately, is still hospitalized and is receiving treatment for jaundice,” the new dad wrote. “We are not sure how long Karine Staehle will be hospitalized with Pierre. She is healing well.”
It looks like Paul is already adjusting to daddy duty as he revealed on March 24 that “operation first diaper change” was a success. “However I barely dodged round two. Karine came to my rescue,” he wrote. We’re wishing them all the best!
