Hey, at least she’s trying! Nicole Nafziger from 90 Day Fiancé admitted on Instagram that she’s been trying to pick up her fiancé Azan Tefou’s language — Moroccan Arabic — but it’s been a struggle. A fan asked her during a Q&A session on the social media platform, “Have you learned Azan’s native tongue?” and Nicole, 25, replied, “It’s a hard language to learn (even harder for me) but every time I’m there I learn a little at a time and try to talk with his family. Azan always laughs at me and says I sound cute because [of] my American accent.” Aww.

Azan — a.k.a Hassan M’Raouni — is from Morocco, while Nicole is from Florida. As if the distance wasn’t tough enough for the duo to deal with, it seems like the language difference is a bit of a challenge too. But it’s not all bad! When another fan asked Nicole, “Did you ever [notice] you picked up Azan’s accent when you lived with him?” the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star replied, “Haha yes! I do it every time [I’m] with him in Morocco!” No matter what you might think of Azan and Nicole’s relationship, you’ve gotta admit, that’s kind of sweet.

Yet another follower had a related question for Nicole in the same question and answer sesh. They asked, “How did Azan learn so much English and so well?” The reality TV star proudly responded, “Azan is very good with learning languages. He learned a lot from watching American movies as a kid. Since the beginning of us being together, his English has improved a lot! He knows a lot more American slang now too.”

Since Nicole is now planning to move to Morroco along with her daughter, May, in order to marry Azan and apply for a spousal visa, it’s probably a good idea for her to learn the language. She won’t always have her future hubby around to translate, after all!
