He’s ready for round two! Tarik Myers is a newcomer to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, but he didn’t waste any time shaking things up. TLC cameras documented Tarik’s journey to meet his Filipino girlfriend Hazel for the first time in her native country on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, but he hinted that they’re not happy with the way the network and the production company Sharp Entertainment has editing their story — and now his pal and fellow co-star Ricky Reyes can relate, and Tarik took to Instagram to share a message of solidarity with his friend.

Tarik shared a screenshot of a photo that Ricky posted to his Instagram story of a drawing of a woman, and Ricky wrote, “Things may not always look as it seems.” As if that wasn’t cryptic enough, Tarik added another layer to it. “And THIS [sic] is why Ricky is my dawg. Ricky is a veteran so he ain’t skurred [sic] either. The devil is in the details,” he wrote in his caption.

Tarik’s post seems to further fans’ suspicions that he is angry with TLC and Sharp for portraying his relationship with Hazel in a negative light. To fans at home, Tarik seems like a desperate American who is superficially in love with Hazel’s looks and Hazel seems like a woman who is willing to do anything to leave the Philippines, even if it means marrying someone she’s not attracted to.

Meanwhile, Ricky’s storyline is a first for the franchise. He originally applied to be on the show because he said he wanted to go to Colombia to meet his online girlfriend Melissa for the first time in person after meeting on Colombian Cupid, and possibly propose to her, but she ghosted him after their first date. He then moves onto the next, which is another girl named Ximena who he also met on Colombian Cupid. But, as he hinted in his cryptic Instagram post, there might be more to his story that the producers are editing out.
