Those are some strong words! 90 Day Fiancé fans were introduced to new couple Tarik and Hazel earlier this season on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and it seems like Tarik isn’t very happy with the way they’re being portrayed on the show. Tarik took to Instagram to share a very cryptic message to his followers about “the devil,” and a lot of fans think that Tarik is calling out TLC for “lying” about him, Hazel, and their relationship.

“Be careful who you make a deal with cause unbeknownst to you, the other person might be the devil and the devil will lie on you, the devil will lie on your woman, the devil will lie on you and your woman at the same time,” Tarik said into the camera in a very serious tone. “And the devil will build a big, beautiful machine to fool you, right? But it’s still the devil. But I came from nothing, so I ain’t scared of nothing. I ain’t scared to rage against that machine. F–k you mean? Play with me.”

Fans flooded the comments to speculate who Tarik could be talking about. “Sounds like he [sic] talking about TLC and the show,” one fan wrote, and another commented, “Sounds like a message to TLC and the editing. A lot of people on that show have said in the past seasons, that they were portrayed negatively and or poorly and or twisted the storyline, for ratings.”

Tarik also added some more context to his message in his caption. “I never knew there was an art to telling lies on people. Mastered it huh? And I’m NOT [sic] referring to Hazel. They know who I’m talking to,” he continued. “If you’re smart enough to read between the lines…. You will too. Oh and no matter what you devils try to do to me…Tarik’s Life Continues. @mohamedjbaliusa is a hero.”

The fact that Tarik tagged former 90 Day Fiancé star Mohamed Jbali in the post is also another telling clue that his message could be aimed at the network. Mohamed famously was the only cast member to rebel against TLC and the production company Sharp Entertainment for the way that he was portrayed on the show. During his last season on the show, which documented the drama leading up to his divorce from his wife Danielle Jbali, Mohamed frequently went on Facebook Live to share his side of the story, because he felt it wasn’t being told on the show. Shortly after they finalized their divorce, Mohamed announced that he would not return to the franchise.

“I have no respect for some fake couples in it plus it’s not the best place to tell a real story,” Mohamed wrote on social media at the time. “That’s why I’m out!”
